PayUs.AI was founded by Robert Lee MCIPP, who has more than 20 years in payroll. Rob trained at PwC and ADP, then led payroll for companies from start-up to 1,000+ employees. He has directed global payroll and a CloudPay rollout at Improbable, built payroll from scratch for a 100+ person distributed company, and led payroll across 30+ countries, introducing AI-assisted payroll checks along the way.
We work remotely with clients around the world, and take on a limited number of projects at a time so every client gets senior attention.

Which countries do you cover?
Our founder has run payroll and employment operations in 35+ countries across Europe, the Americas, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa. For multi-country payrolls we work alongside your local payroll providers and coordinate across them.
How long does a project take?
A payroll audit takes three weeks. Startup set-up is usually ready before your first payday. Most other projects take two to six weeks, and we confirm the timeline in your proposal.
How does pricing work?
Every project has a fixed price agreed in writing before we start. If the scope changes, we agree any change with you first. Monthly services run on a rolling three-month term, then month to month.
Will AI tools see our employee data?
Only in the way you approve. We sign a data agreement first, use as little personal data as possible, and only use business-grade AI tools that don't train on your data. You can also choose a no-AI option. Read how we protect your data.
What do you need from us?
Usually the standard reports your payroll system already produces, plus a contact who can answer questions. We don't need access to your systems.
What if you find a serious problem?
We tell you straight away, explain the likely cost, and set out how to fix it, including whether to tell the tax authority. We can then help you put it right.
Do you submit returns to the tax authority for us?
We prepare and check everything, and you or your payroll provider submit it. That keeps you in control of what's filed in your name.
Do you work with our existing payroll provider and accountant?
Yes. We work alongside whoever already runs your payroll and accounts, and with the system you already use.
Are you replacing our payroll team?
No. We take repetitive checking off their plate so they can focus on judgement calls and the people they pay.
